15 years Special Edition

Hard to believe, but true: our music festival in, from and for Cologne is turning fifteen - and has passed its moped driving test!

14 bands and projects will present themselves on four stages in the Stadtgarten and Club Zimmermanns. For this Special Edition 2026, curators Angelika Niescier and Ulla Oster have invited five illustrious guests: Benoît Delbecq, Alexandra Grimal, Alexander Morsey, Monika Roscher and Cansu Tanrikulu. They have put together their line-ups via wildcard and will perform their compositions, concepts and ideas together with Cologne musicians. Of course, the focus will remain on extraordinary Cologne projects and working bands.

And already now, an incredibly big thank you to you - our loyal, interested, lively and always fabulously numerous audience - and to the many great musicians. You have been making WINTERJAZZ KÖLN this phenomenal event for 15 years! Places of art, such as the Stadtgarten, are spaces of resistance. We will continue to work with you to create a community in these places that is committed to respect, solidarity and openness.
