Georg Kreisler, a master of dark humor, shaped German-language cabaret like few others. His often highly poetic, sometimes even surreal texts—accompanied by sophisticated piano music—have lost none of their political or social relevance.
Cabaret artist Markus von Hagen, winner of the Herne Satire Prize, who is also a director, reciter, and host of various program formats, accompanied by his stage partner Philip Ritter, a pianist and journalist (known, among other things, for “Rudelsingen” and “Ein rätselhafter Schimmer”), introduces the audience to this profound wordsmith, who still has a great deal to say to us today.
