Manfred Theisen was born in Cologne in 1962 and studied German, English and political science. He ran a newspaper editorial office in Cologne, conducted research for the German Ministry of the Interior in Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and researched for his novels in Israel and the Arab states. Today he lives with his family as a freelance author in Cologne. His novels have been translated into several languages, have won awards and have been recommended by radio stations.

Gerd Köster, born in 1957, began his career in 1979 as a singer in the bands "Schroeder Roadshow", "The piano has been drinking" (1988-93 singer and lyricist) and the "Gerd Köster Band". From 1996 to October 2023, he was on the road with Frank Hocker as "Köster/Hocker" in and around Cologne. He has read countless audio books as a narrator. Gerd Köster is an ensemble member of Kölsch Milljö and Kölsche Weihnacht and is a founding member of "AG Arsch huh" for tolerance and diversity.
