In this year's evening workshop, we are not building on rules, but on the basic structure that supports a text. We want to explore the following aspects in writing exercises: How do we create interesting characters? How do we bring the narrative world to life and make it authentic? How do we structure our narrative in an exciting way and which perspective is suitable for this? What makes good dialog, and when is it better to leave something out? By acquiring the basic craft and trying it out in our own texts, we create a foundation on which creativity in writing can unfold.

PIERRE JARAWAN was born in Amman, Jordan, in 1985 to a Lebanese father and a German mother. His novels "Am Ende bleiben die Zedern" (2016) and "Ein Lied für die Vermissten" (2020) are international bestsellers, have been awarded prizes and translated into numerous languages.
