Anyone who thinks of French tobacco when they hear Gitanes Blondes is completely wrong. At their concerts, the four Munich musicians open a treasure chest full of musical gems from the Balkans and klezmer music, mixed with Irish, Russian and South American tunes and wild dances. An evening with Gitanes Blondes is as varied as the spice merchant's stall at the bazaar: Entertaining and exciting, sometimes to dream, sometimes to laugh. A program between sorrowful melancholy and breakneck virtuosity.
A concert tour in 2010 led to a concert with the "King of Klezmer" Giora Feidman. His enthusiasm for the quartet was so great that countless joint concerts followed. Gitanes Blondes have played and continue to play in all major concert halls and festivals worldwide.
