With their original lyrics and compositions, the group MANZANAR invites you to a musical and poetic encounter—a journey into the heart of Latin America, and Chile in particular.

Manzanar’s music draws on the tradition of “Canto Nuevo,” a musical movement in Chile that has stood for artistic freedom and social engagement since the 1960s. Melodies and rhythms from various regions of Chilean and Latin American folklore blend in an original way with other cultural influences such as flamenco, jazz, and pop music, without conforming to conventional cultural boundaries and norms.Free admission—donations are welcome.
