Karina and her duo “Radiocafetal” have made it their mission to rediscover Mexican musical traditions from the 1930s and 1940s. Inspired by the cultural diversity of the port city of Veracruz, the project offers fresh interpretations of *Son Jarocho*, traditional Mexican folk songs, *Danzónete*, and bolero.

At the same time, they present original compositions with Caribbean influences that create a nostalgic atmosphere.

Together with guitarist Porfirio Almazán, Karina cultivates an intimate sound characterized by deep cultural roots and powerful emotional expression.

Her repertoire draws on the musical traditions of Mexican cabarets, *cantinas*, and rural regions, transposing them into a contemporary context.

By bringing a female perspective to the music, Karina offers a fresh take on classic love songs.
