Guvvy Release Party + DJ Set Felix Kirner

The time has finally come! The Munich boom pop trio Guvvy will be playing their Munich premiere at the Kongressbar. They have their previously unreleased vinyl in their luggage. After their concert, the party continues with a DJ set by Felix Kirner.

Trippy vocal lines, uncompromisingly grooving guitar riffs and probably the tightest boom-bap beats that Munich has ever produced - these are Guvvy's trademarks. Their musical backgrounds are different, but what unites them is their love of 90s hip hop and the trio's unbeatable joy and ease of playing: Guvvy mix hip hop, RnB, indie and psychedelic - anything goes, as long as it's fun.

After making a name for themselves as sought-after studio and live musicians with artists such as Max Mutzke, Joris, Birgit Minichmayr and Tom Gregory, the time was ripe in the fall of 2022 for Guvvy - their very own band project. The minimal line-up with maximum sound yield is unique: guitarist Lukas plays his specially designed hybrid guitar and mixes the sound of electric bass and electric guitar - in a single instrument. But that's just the beginning of the virtuosity here: as if drummer Chris' unmistakable grooves weren't already tasty enough, he also contributes the keyboard parts with his left hand. Meanwhile, singer Adriano, who has long since sung his way into the hearts of fans far beyond Munich's borders with his electronic funk band Pho Queue (over 100,000 plays on Spotify) and his monthly soul sessions in Munich's Kongressbar, shows off the full range of his voice on Guvvy.
