Your entry into the world of letters

In this DIY workshop in Cologne, you will immerse yourself in the world of modern hand and brush lettering. In three hours, you'll get a structured but relaxed introduction and learn how to design letters in various contemporary lettering styles - ideal for anyone with no previous experience.

To begin with, we will get an overview of materials and the basics of letter design. Using fineliners and brush pens, you will practise different lettering styles and learn how to use the brush pen correctly: Pressure, momentum and rhythm. Step by step, you will learn how to develop letters, words and finally complete lettering from a few basic strokes.

All materials will be available to you during the course. You can try out different pens and find out what suits your style best. Sign up, get inspired and discover your creative side - anyone can learn hand lettering.

Good to know

• No previous experience necessary: Ideal for beginners - you will be guided step by step.

• Artwork to take home: You can take your artwork home with you straight after the course.

• On the way home: Please bring a suitable bag for your artwork so that it cannot crease.

• Course language: The workshop will be held in German. Please speak to our course leader if you would like the instructions in English.

• Location: When booking, pay attention to the address given for one of our two locations - you will also find it in your confirmation email.

• Aprons on site: If it gets colorful, we will of course protect you with aprons.

• Participation: The workshop is suitable for anyone aged 12 and over.
