Helmut Krumminga “I Like to Invite Guests Over”

On October 17, Helmut Krumminga kicks off his new concert series ,“I Love to Invite Guests.”

The title is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the famous aria from Johann Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus” —and it is precisely in this spirit of musical exchange that Krumminga will henceforth invite guests to special evenings.

His first guest is a musician with whom he shares many years of performing together: Till Kersting —guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer, and stylistically at home between soul and rockabilly. He became known, among other things, for his work with The Baseballs, The Sugarhills, and as the musical accompanist for Carolin Kebekus & Pussy Terror.

The two played together for many years in Tommy Engel ’s band, where they developed a musical language characterized by virtuosity, humor, and a genuine joy of playing.

The audience can look forward to an evening that combines an intimate concert atmosphere with top-notch guitar playing—full of stories, surprises, and a sense of musical connection. A meeting of two artists who understand each other perfectly and, for that very reason, leave plenty of room for spontaneity.

An evening for everyone who loves handmade music and wants to experience two extraordinary musicians in an intimate setting.

The series will then continue on an irregular basis—with new guests, new stories, and new musical encounters.
