Henna tattoo session with Sama (in the exhibition hall below): In the past, henna tattoos were often used in India and North Africa to decorate brides as a sign of good luck and protection. While in North African countries large-scale patterns and geometric figures are often painted, in India it is rather playful flower tendrils and filigree patterns. Sama conjures sensual body art on hands during the museum night - without chemical additives and without harming the skin. Genuine henna develops a dark brown hue and lasts up to four weeks.
