Henry Purcell’s *Dido and Aeneas* (1688) is one of the most significant works of English Baroque opera to be performed as part of the Klangvokal concert season: a work of striking clarity, dramatic intensity, and great emotional depth. The story of love, duty, and loss unfolds in music of timeless expressiveness. The work will be performed by Vox Luminis, the renowned vocal ensemble from Belgium, which has been acclaimed at the Salzburg Festival, the Klangvokal Music Festival, and many international venues. A performance of exceptional stylistic precision and musical sincerity.
