In the organizer's words:
The Latvian Radio Choir, which has been celebrated on multiple occasions at KLANGVOKAL, ranks among the leading ensembles in Northern Europe.
Under the direction of the internationally acclaimed Kaspars Putniņš, the choir now presents Arvo Pärt’s haunting choral work “Kanon Pokajanen” (1997), a sacred meditation on the Orthodox “Canon of Repentance.” Pärt’s composition creates a palpable tension between contemplative silence and intense sonic power. Vocal precision, harmonic sophistication, and expressive depth make this evening a compelling finale to the 2026/27 concert season—an event that will surely resonate for a long time to come.
