Choreographer Adrienn Hód is known for works that radically rethink the means and possibilities of dance. As boundary-pushing as her productions may sometimes seem, the process through which they are created is one of deep trust. In “High Cave,” she collaborates with the Unusual Symptoms ensemble to create a choreography in which bodies, emotions, and imagination merge into a shared experience. Between sensory overload and silence, dancers and audience members are confronted with the various forms of their connections: to one another, to themselves, and to the present moment. Bodies that draw close to one another without pretense and a space in constant flux come together in “High Cave” to form a living act of mindfulness, connection, risk, and transformation.
