Fantastic stories of love and failure
In the pale light of a candle, the poet Hoffmann reviews the unhappy loves of his past: the docile Olympia, who turns out to be an automaton. The gloomy Antonia, who is carried off by her own singing due to a mysterious illness. And finally, the passionate courtesan Giulietta, who steals Hoffmann's reflection on behalf of the sinister Dapertutto and even tempts him to commit murder.
