In 2026, Germany's most popular interview podcast celebrates its tenth anniversary. The first episode was released in fall 2016. After a decade, Matze Hielscher can look back on an impressive array of guests - from journalism, science, politics, philosophy, sport, art and music, he has already conducted well over 500 interviews. Hotel Matze is a podcast that lives not only from the people in front of the microphones, but also from those who listen.

That is why he is surprising his listeners this year and next with eight dates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and celebrating his tenth birthday together with them. Which personalities the audience can look forward to at the upcoming live shows remains a surprise, of course. But the podcast always offers a wealth of well-known personalities, including Nina Chuba, Jürgen Klopp and Angela Merkel.

The idea is to experience what usually happens in the studio together in one room: Conversations that have time. Encounters that develop. And a moment in which listening becomes something shared. Matze Hielscher creates a warm atmosphere at eye level and the audience experiences it up close.
