Il:LO

Founded over ten years ago in Prague, Dejan Dejado and Andreas Schütz of il:lo work across borders, time and space - one lives in Berlin, the other currently in the south of France - sending snippets and tracks back and forth until they are happy with them.

Following their 2019 album Sloh and recent collaboration with Anjunadeep (2021 EP release Meliadi), as well as support tours with Parra For Cuva, Stimming, Janus Rasmussen, CloZee and Zimmer, the duo's latest work, Myriad, followed in June 2023. The EP gently pushes the boundaries and expectations of what il:lo is and can be. Myriad's goal was to make something that still has the undeniable il:lo essence, but that pushes it a little further towards a danceable deep house sound.

The architecture featured on the covers of Myriad and the singles is as integral to the project as the music itself. As they sent their work back and forth, they stripped away the superfluous, leaving only the essence and emotion of the track - similarly, the architecture that adorns their covers is powerful in its simplicity and makes you stop and look at it from a different angle. When you strip things back, their power is usually revealed.

We saw il:lo supporting Thylacine for the first time in May 2023 and are now incredibly excited to welcome them back to the Turmzimmer on June 13.
