"Im Atem der Romantik" (Cello und Klavier)

Schumann@Max is the name of the regular concert series that takes place at the Maxhaus in cooperation with students and graduates of the Robert Schumann Hochschule.

In the new program, Klaudio Zoto, a master's student at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Prof. Gregor Horsch's cello class, and pianist and RSH graduate Victoria Nava create an evening full of tonal intensity and subtle expressiveness. Together, the award-winning duo will perform works from the romantic repertoire by Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann and Edvard Grieg - music of intimate depth, passionate dialog and great narrative range. With Nadia Boulanger, the program opens up a subtle glimpse into the early 20th century. Often impressionistically colored, her "Trois pièces" combine delicate songfulness with rhythmic liveliness and contrapuntal clarity.
