James Bond 007: Golden Eye

First James Bond film with Pierce Brosnan as 007, who played the role three more times until 2002.

During a raid on a Russian research base, General Ouromov secures Goldeneye, the key to activating secret Russian military satellites. James Bond is sent after the villain and his henchmen. But before the showdown in the Caribbean, 007 first has to digest a bitter surprise.
The Russian mafia group Janus has taken control of "Goldeneye", two satellites whose electromagnetic rays can destroy all life on earth. The boss of this criminal gang is ex-"006" Alec Trevelyan, James Bond's former colleague. Together with computer specialist Natalya Simonova, 007 sets out on the traitor's trail. Their journey takes them via Monaco and St. Petersburg to Cuba and Janus' command center.
After Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton, former series hero Pierce Brosnan as 007 now shows all communists (or what's left of them) what a British-majestic agent rake is. Also in on the turbulent action: Fassbinder veteran Gottfried John as the bad guy.
