With his quartet "Stax" ((pronounced 'schtaks'), Leipzig-based drummer Max Stadtfeld released his third album "Fancy Future" in 2024. Following his debut in 2019 on the ACT label and the follow-up album "Suboptimal" on KLAENG Records, he returns with another contemporary work full of previously unheard ideas, stylistic quotes and production finesse.
As with the previous album, Max collaborates with artist Ebony Schneeweiß for "Fancy Future". This time, however, she was not only responsible for the artwork, but also developed a comic book based on the music. In this
book tells a touching and humorous story about the eight tracks on the album
between galaxy hopping and friendship.
