JOSIAH AND THE BONNEVILLES

He's already done the ox tour: in his early 20s, Josiah and the Bonnevilles was on the verge of ending his career after several years as a musician. But instead of giving up, he reinvented himself as an indie artist. With his comforting voice and radically honest lyrics, he has now earned himself a firm place in American country folk. Behind the project is Tennessee-born singer/songwriter Josiah Leming. Growing up in Morristown in a working-class family, he wrote his own songs from an early age. He left school as a teenager, lived in his car at times and played wherever the opportunity presented itself. His participation in the casting show "American Idol" was soon followed by a major deal, but this fell through just as quickly. But Leming continued undeterred. As an independent artist, he built up a loyal fan base over the years, which he now affectionately calls "the Bonnevilles" and has even integrated into his stage name. With releases such as "Cold Blood" (2016), "On Trial" (2018), "Motel Mayday" (2021) and most recently "Endurance" (2023), he has continued to develop his approachable, unmistakable style between folk, country and alternative. At the same time, he gained new fans with "Country Covers" (2023 and 2024) with reinterpretations of popular pop songs. Josiah and the Bonnevilles are now opening a new chapter with their new, tenth studio album "As Is". The sound is more open and electronic, but at the same time remains true to its acoustic roots. In terms of content, he once again demonstrates his great strength in writing universal stories from personal experiences. The US-American's stage presence underlines this talent: humorous, approachable and intense, he creates an atmosphere that turns his concerts into real community experiences.
