Introducing Lucas Brum: Cansu Arat & Lucas Brum – Bobo de Amor (JazzHall SummerFestival)
In the organizer's words:
Lucas Brum, together with singer Cansu Arat, presents their duo program, influenced by Brazilian music, with an expanded lineup featuring a string quartet and band. On stage, the two are already previewing their album “Bobo de Amor,” which will be released at the end of the year. In the second half of the concert, Lucas Brum will be introduced in the form of an interview. Singer Cansu Arat and guitarist Lucas Brum met while studying at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg. Since then, they have built a distinctive repertoire together, consisting of Lucas’s original compositions as well as Brazilian standards by Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, and Ivan Lins. What sets the duo apart is the unique sound created by the interplay of their two voices with the guitar. This journey is now taking on a new dimension: Cansu and Lucas are bringing their repertoire to the stage together with a band and a string quartet—the strings intertwine with the voices and the guitar, lending the music greater depth and elevating it to a new level without losing its intimacy.
