KAMUNA 2026

Behind-the-scenes glimpses, exciting workshops, or a museum scavenger hunt: On August 1, 2026, visitors can once again look forward to an unforgettable night filled with art, culture, and discoveries.

Under this year’s KAMUNA motto, “Culture Matters,” the ZKM is presenting a diverse program for KAMUNA 2026 centered on media art, sound art, and social perspectives. The focus will be on a variety of tours of the current exhibitions, including curator-led tours,“Pride Perspectives—Media Art in a Queer Context,” accessible tours, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the ZKM.

The program is complemented by music and sound art in the Kubus, featuring the live concert“Exoplanetary Fictions” andthe fixed-media concert“Spherical Sounds,” as well as the workshop“Move it!—Let Your AI Creation Dance” and various discussion formats and talks.

A special highlight is the performance*Elene’s Fugue Line(2026)* by Natia Chikvaidze, Davit Khorbaladze, and Karolina Sobel in cooperation with the UNESCO City of Media Arts Karlsruhe.

With the EnBW Dancefloor“Our Energy Makes a Difference—Moving Does Good!”the evening becomes an open space for movement, encounters, and exchange.
 

Tickets

Advance ticket sales, priced at 10 euros, begin on June 22 at the Tourist Information Office in Schaufenster Karlsruhe, at all ticket counters of the participating KAMUNA institutions, andonline via the Reservix ticketing portal. Tickets at the Box Office will be available on August 1 for 12 euros. To ensure visitors can easily reach all KAMUNA highlights, two shuttle bus routes will be available again this year, included in the KAMUNA ticket.
