Kathrin Pechlof Trio

In the organizer's words:

The trio with Kathrin Pechlof (harp), Christian Weidner (saxophone) and Robert Landfermann (bass) has been around for 15 years. In that time, this Berlin-Cologne ensemble has found a form of interaction based on a deep bond. Because the dynamic amplitude of the harp is flat, Pechlof, Weidner and Landfermann focus on quiet chamber music that leaves plenty of room for the harp's differentiated timbres. The music benefits from the fact that Pechlof, who was born in Munich in 1978, first studied classical harp before training in jazz composition at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and then moving to Berlin, where she became part of the internationally acclaimed jazz scene. She is therefore equally at home in classical and contemporary music as she is in jazz and improvised music, and knows what connects these genres as well as what separates them. The trio does not follow a concept, but a familiarity that has grown over the years determines the progress of the music.

The concert is partially seated. There is no entitlement to a seat.
