Wonder – Ask Questions – Dream
Picture Book Discussion and Art Activities for 3rd and 4th Graders

Where do dreams go after we wake up—and can we find them again? Together, we’ll look at a book, listen to a story about dreams, and talk about what we discover in the pictures: What questions come to mind? What do we find beautiful, strange, or maybe even a little mysterious?

Afterward, we’ll get creative ourselves: We’ll draw, paint, and make collages inspired by the story and our own dream worlds.

Carolin Pauke, who researches topics such as text and image in picture book discussions at the University of Hildesheim, will guide us through the book. Parents can drop off their children and pick them up again after the event, as the afternoon will be supervised by pedagogically trained, JuLeiCa-certified staff from the Hildesheim Church District Youth Service.

We warmly invite all 3rd and 4th graders who are interested in magical stories and enjoy creating art.
