Spielzeiteröffnung: Träumen
In the organizer's words:
Here we go again! We cordially invite you to join us on this late-summer Friday afternoon to kick off the new“Träumen” season. We’ll present theprogramfor the coming months and offer a preview of readings, discussions, and new formats.
Our guest is author Selene Mariani, whowill readfrom her new novel*Aus dem Dachfenster die Wolken sehen* (Watching the Clouds from the Skylight). The novel’s first-person narrator asks herself: How do I want to live? Is a fulfilling life even possible in the face of today’s crises? While she dreams of her own novel and an apartment with a skylight, she observes the life choices of other women—until her sister moves in with her, bringing her child along.
Selene Mariani studied at the Hildesheim Institute of Literature. Her works have been nominated for the Prenzlauer Berg Literature Prize, the Berlin Radio Play Prize, and the BücherFrauen Literature Prize, among others.
The newstage designin the nave will also be on display for the first time. Our Technical Director and Set Designer David Schnitter will guide you through his new design, which will shape the space for the next year.
We look forward to seeing you again overcoffee and cake. Let’s bring the summer to a close together and get in the mood for TRÄUMEN. Children are most welcome, as are adults.
