Lesen mit dem Silent Book Club

An evening of quiet reading in good company: The Silent Book Club is just the thing for anyone who wants to lose themselves in a book in peace, but not alone. The concept originated in the U.S.; since September 2024, book lovers in Hildesheim have also been meeting regularly to read quietly for an hour. Afterward, anyone who’d like to can chat with others about what they’ve read. 

Now the Silent Book Club is visiting the Literaturhaus and welcomes new readers. Feel free to bring whatever you’re currently reading, or browse our season library featuring books from the current and past seasons.
Make yourselves comfortable on chairs or beanbags in the nave and enjoy the special St. Jakobi atmosphere and reading in good company over a cup of tea.
