Kishi Bashi

Sonderlust 10th Anniversary Tour. Behind the name Kishi Bashi is Kaoru Dill-Ishibashi, a classically trained violinist and composer who made a name for himself internationally with his first two albums, *151a* and *Lighght*. His distinctive style—which blends virtuoso violin loops with indie pop, baroque elements, and orchestral opulence—has taken him to major stages around the world. After years of intensive touring, however, Ishibashi reached a creative turning point that would permanently alter his musical direction. With *Sonderlust*, originally released in 2016, Kishi Bashi consciously embraced a minimalist approach.
