Prof. Katarzyna Dondalska introduces the Poznańska Szkoła Chóralna "Jerzego Kurczewskiego"

The choir school is a special artistic and educational institution in Poznań that has been training young singers in the tradition of Polish choral music for many years. The school was founded on the initiative of the renowned conductor and teacher Jerzy Kurczewski, the creator of the famous "Poznańskie Słowiki" choir.

The institution combines general education with intensive musical training and offers students systematic singing lessons, music reading, voice training and work in a choral ensemble. The activities of the choir school are an important part of the cultural life of the city and continue the rich choral tradition of Poznan.

During the concert you will hear soloists, instrumentalists, vocal ensembles and the girls' choir of the choir school. The program includes works by Fernando Obradors, Jacques Offenbach and John Williams as well as songs from the repertoire of Aretha Franklin and Frank Sinatra.
