The final-year students of Christiane Behn's piano class present a varied program of works by great composers.

Epiphan Ip plays Bach's Italian Concerto (1st movement), Ravel's "Prélude" and an etude by Kapustin. Kurumi Fujita will interpret the 1st movement of Scriabin's "2nd Sonata-Fantasy". Serhij Kovalov will perform Beethoven's "Waldstein Sonata" as well as works by Ukrainian composers that express the diversity and depth of the Ukrainian musical tradition.

An evening full of musical highlights that will take the audience on an exciting journey through different eras and styles.

Short biographies of the pianists
Hoi Wan Epiphan IP from Hong Kong studies at the Hamburg Conservatory with Christiane Behn. She first came into contact with the piano at the age of four and her musical interpretation is meticulous. At the age of fourteen, Epiphan gave her first piano recital at the Hong Kong Arts Center in 2014. In the same year, the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (MYO) invited her as a guest to perform the third movement of the Yellow River Piano Concerto entitled "The Yellow River in Wrath". In 2016, she gave her second piano recital at Hong Kong City Hall, which gave the sold-out audience an unforgettable experience. In 2019, she was invited together with other pianists to perform at the opening ceremony of the 12th China International Youth Arts Festival in Guangzhou. The performance was successful and showcased her exceptional talent and dedication to music.

Born in Japan, Kurumi Fujita's musical education began at the age of 3 when she started her piano lessons with YAMAHA at the young age of three and continued under Ako Ohara. At the Yaei High School Department of Art and Music, she studied piano under Kaori Ohsuga and harpsichord under Mamiko Nagahisa.

At the Hamburg Conservatory, she first participated in the international academic year and is currently continuing her bachelor's degree in piano under Christiane Behn and harpsichord under Anke Dennert. In 2017 she won gold in the J. S. Bach Music Concours in Japan, in 2018 silver in The European International Piano Concours in Japan and took part in the prizewinners' concert at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall.

Serhij Kovalov studied music in the Ukrainian region of Poltava, received a bachelor's degree in summer 2021 at the Peter Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in the capital of Ukraine - Kyiv. During his studies he participated in various music events.

He is currently studying in the class of Ms. Christiane Behn at the Hamburg Conservatory and plays concerts in Hamburg, Schwerin and Lüneburg.
