Sound Installation “The Sound Tapestry”

The Elbphilharmonie is coming to St. Georg!

Elbphilharmonie on Wheels: Packed with instruments, the Musical Mobile is on its way to see you kids in St. Georg.
Once there, imaginative stories will playfully introduce you to the world of music.
Using their voices, their own bodies, and, of course, the many instruments, children can experience the power of sounds and rhythms.

At the Kulturladen this year, the “Sound Carpet” soars high into the air.

An old rug in the Elbphilharmonie’s instrument storage holds a secret: it can fly.
But to do so, it needs “sound fuel.”
Driven by little melodies from the guitar and flute and many singing voices, the passengers fly through distant desert landscapes.
Sand swirls up, ice flowers ring out, and mysterious sounds fill a rocky desert on this musical journey of discovery.

The Sounding Mobile is aimed at children ages 4–6 and is designed for daycare groups of up to 18 children.

Start times: 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Duration: 60 minutes each (no break)
Price: €50 per event
