Is the injustice that befalls Michael Kohlhaas cause enough to become the leader of a bloody revolt? What turns him into a raging murderer - and makes him suddenly change his mind?
Marco Baliani's theater version explores the question of whether there is more than black and white. How much freedom does one have when confronted with oppressive mechanisms? Can vigilante justice be legitimate when the law fails? Can there be justice in a system where power is abused? Alone on stage, Franco Melis explores these contradictions, which can be found not only in society but also in the individual, in the character of Kohlhaas.
