Kölner Comedy Clash

Germany's biggest stand-up comedy competition in Cologne is going into the next round: comedy enthusiasts can look forward to seeing the best newcomers on the stand-up comedy scene in Cologne again in 2023. In four preliminary rounds, which will take place from March 29, 2023 to October 25, 2023 at the Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld, six comedians and comediennes will compete against each other in the competition. The strongest participant in each show will qualify for the annual finale through audience voting. At the final event on December 12, 2023, at the Gloria in Cologne, the winners of the preliminary rounds will heat up the audience once again before the best artist in the final round can take home a trophy. The show format promotes the young stand-up scene in NRW and supports up-and-coming talent.

The Comedy Clash, which has its roots in Stuttgart and celebrates its tenth anniversary there in 2022, helped successful comedians such as Özcan Cosar and Chris Tall achieve their breakthrough. As Germany's largest stand-up competition, the event is known far beyond the borders of Baden- Württemberg: Live shows based on the Stuttgart model have been set up in Cologne, Essen and Aachen, and are now popular crowd pullers. Therefore, the brand will be extended to two new cities in 2023. Since February, up to 500 stand-up fans can be present in Saarlouis and from April in Berlin when exciting newcomers stir up the comedy scene and vote for their favorites.
