Kölner Präventionsgespräch | Safer Internet Day: Risiken im Netz – KI, Fake News und Cybercrime

In the organizer's words:

What do children and young people really experience every day on the internet and on social media? What are the current dangers? What strategies are actors pursuing online and in the school playground? How can I teach children and young people how to use the internet constructively? How can they protect themselves and others? And what risks does the increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) entail?

The theme of this year's international Safer Internet Day is "AI and me. In an artificial relationship". To mark the occasion, we are answering these questions together with the Cologne police and journalist Insa Backe - also known as the fake news expert on the radio program "MausLive" (WDR). You will gain practical insights into the mechanisms behind fake news, influencing opinions and social media. We will give tips on how to deal with cyberbullying or cybergrooming and explain the role of artificial intelligence on the internet for our children and young people.

The speakers will be Eric Dieden (Cologne Police), Insa Backe (journalist and prevention expert) and Sabrina Hack (City of Cologne, KOMEZ).

The Cologne Prevention Talks are a series of events organized by the Cologne Crime Prevention Council together with the Cologne Adult Education Centre.
