Always an inspiration With a new duo program "Songs of my life", Konstantin Wecker provides very personal insights into his work in 2024. Munich. Songs have shaped his life - for over 50 years. For Konstantin Wecker, this is reason enough to review the past decades on countless stages for himself and his audience in a wonderful way.

With the new chamber music program "Songs of my life", the Munich musician, composer and author presents his personal poetic highlights together with his pianist and long-time companion Jo Barnikel - from the beginnings to the present day.

These will include classics such as "Wenn der Sommer nicht mehr weit ist", "Willy", written in the 1970s, "Wut und Zärtlichkeit", "Manchmal weine ich sehr", but also "Die Irren" from his very first LP "Die sadopoetischen Gesänge des Konstantin Amadeus Wecker".

The audience can also look forward to one or two surprises with songs that have almost been forgotten. One thing has always been the same for the passionate pacifist and committed anti-fascist: "In my songs, I have always allowed my fragility, my vulnerability." He has always found himself in the process - and thus also his followers, for whom his lines have always been an inspiration. And still are. You can all look forward to an evening of encouraging songs and poems whose power will continue to shape our lives for many years to come.
