Kravchenko Clees feat. Janne Nicolas

It is a rare combination, a duo of voice and vibraphone. Two melodic "instruments" that play with each other, orbit each other or merge into a common sound instrument. The voice sings words, speaks, whispers, forms sounds, breaks the melody, breaks it up into sharp-edged splinters that shatter between the clanging chords of the vibraphone and form new shapes in the music. Sparkling, seductive, hesitant, questioning. The words stand on their own like monuments to a distant memory or swirl like a rain of syllables. They come from poems selected by the Ukrainian singer and vocalist Kateryna Kravchenko together with the Luxembourgian vibraphonist Arthur Clees. As intimate descriptions of longing and memory, of great beauty and pain. They will present their debut album "Faces" as part of the Cologne Jazzweek with Janne Nicolas as special guest on the church organ.

The concert is partially seated. There is no entitlement to a seat.
