KRAWALL: Leber + Cute fruit + fab + The Queenston + WarmDefeat

KRAWALL means rioting, making noise, drawing attention. Empowerment and equal rights for all genders are at the heart of our new event series, where local and international artists perform on several stages. The third edition will feature Leber with feminist punk, the surf-psych-pop of Cute Fruit and the Munich synth-punk band fab.

Liver

The liver is an organ with many functions. If it no longer works properly, this can have serious consequences for the entire body. The cause of liver disease is the lack of a moral compass, which is replaced by selfishness. Typical symptoms are therefore xenophobia, traditional roles, sexism, corruption and manipulative speech. A healthy mindset and punk can prevent liver damage. Our liver values are the result of a feminist reckoning with patriarchy and distorted power relations.

Cute Fruit

A queer-feminist fruit machine! Cute Fruit is an international hypnotic surf-psych-pop band consisting of the artists Aelita Le Quément (analog synthesizer), Veronica Burnuthian (drums, vocals), Daniel Greenwald (guitar, bass, vocals) and Eric Felber (bass, vocals). Their sound is atmospheric, groovy, technoid. Time flies with Cute Fruit.

fab

fab is an all female synth-punk band from Munich. Their songs are against mackers, dirty potatoes and for more Chardonnay in urine. Angry, political and danceable.

The Queenston

Émilie Gendron is a concert organizer, DJ and music enthusiast from Montréal who brought her love of the Munich underground scene to this city. Since 2014, she has been organizing concerts and festivals as "Munich Again", including "Munich Again Thursdays", a weekly concert series at Rote Sonne, a monthly showcase at Import Export and festivals such as Peace and Noise, Knobs & Wires, Forum für Freiraum 2022 and many more. She DJs as "The Queenston".

WarmDefeat

Music has always been a huge part of her life, but it has taken it over the past few years in Munich. Enid Valu spends her nights traveling the city in search of groovy tunes and good friends. Her red sunglasses and camera have become a mainstay at venues like Import Export and Rote Sonne to name a few. Collecting not only local records but a wide range of musical genres, there's no defining the taste of this passionate seeker of never ending eargasms. But be certain, her selections will get you moving.
