Living Cultural Body - Tjimur Dance Theatre in the Gewölbesaal

On stages, in museums and on the streets: from June 14 to 21, Hamburg is all about dance. The Tanztriennale celebrates the art form in all its diversity. MARKK is also taking part with the Tjimur Dance Theatre. Their piece Living Cultural Body deals with how culture continuously produces itself. The voice is the origin of movement. The origins of the Taiwanese indigenous Paiwan ethnic group are traced through song, rhythm and breath.
