Queer Joy Art Festival - A multimedia exhibition and performance about the happiness of being queer!

On 23.03.2024, the Queer Joy collective invites all art and culture enthusiasts to a unique experience. From 2 pm to around 10 pm, visitors can immerse themselves in a world that celebrates the happiness and euphoria of being queer.

In a society characterized by queer hostility, it is all the more important that queer people not only find support and security within their own communities, but also continue to dare to consciously claim social space. An essential part of this is ensuring queer visibility in the media, education, art and culture.

The "Queer Joy Art Festival" was created to contribute to an authentic self-presentation by and for the community that actually meets the needs of queer people. Together with twelve queer artists, we want to create a space for various people and art forms that represents the happiness and euphoria of being queer and at the same time connects queer artists and those interested in art.

The festival offers a diverse program of performances and exhibitions that reflect the diversity of the queer community. From live music and performances to sculpture and painting - there's something for everyone here.

Admission starts at 2 pm. The stage program starts at 5 pm. Our doors are open until 10 pm. We cordially invite everyone to celebrate the Queer Joy art festival with us and experience an inspiring day full of art, culture and joy.

The event and the toilets are wheelchair accessible. There is also a changing room that can be used to change clothes. Unfortunately, the stage program will not be accompanied by DGS translation, but some works of art will be made accessible for blind people.
