Kunst & Kampf #2 mit Olivier David und Jean-Philippe Kindler (Live-Podcast)
In the organizer's words:
The live podcast series "Art & Struggle", hosted by writer Olivier David, opens up the space for the personal behind the art. Four times a year, artists and media professionals provide insights into their personal and artistic struggles. The conversations reveal the backstory behind publications and everyday media life.
I talk to Jean-Philippe Kindler about mental health, satire as a means of coping with the present and the question of how literature can be used to tell the story of the loss of a loved one.
Jean-Philippe Kindler, born in Duisburg, is a satirist and author. Kindler has received many awards for his stage programs, including the Prix Pantheon and the German Cabaret Prize. His Spiegel bestseller "Scheiß auf Selflove, gib mir Klassenkampf" was published in 2023. His debut novel "Hier ist der Beginn und das Ende ist dort" was published in 2026.
Olivier David is a writer and journalist. He has previously published "Keine Aufstiegsgeschichte" (2022) and "Von der namenlosen Menge" (2024). Keine Aufstiegsgeschichte was premiered at the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg in 2026. His new volume "Die armen liefern die Leichen" will be on sale this fall.
Kunst & Kampf is supported by the Hamburg-Altona district authority.
