A state capable of acting is central to trust in democracy - but this trust has come under noticeable pressure in parts of society. It is often not a lack of knowledge, but a lack of implementation. What needs to change for government action to work better again?

Philipp Amthor MdB, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Digital and State Modernization, talks to Prof. Dr. Tristan Rohner, holder of the Junior Professorship for Civil Law and Commercial Law in the Digital Society at Bucerius Law School, about reform approaches, administrative modernization and bureaucracy reduction as well as the "Initiative for a State Capable of Acting".
