An unusual idea leads to an unusual fundraising campaign in Cologne's Südstadt district: five Latin American artists are exhibiting their works and lotteries are being held for four of their paintings to benefit the Vringstreff, a meeting place for the homeless and people affected by poverty.
The exhibiting artists Guillermo Malfitani (Argentina), Richard Luis (Cuba), Marisa Montoya (Colombia), María Eugenia Manelli (Argentina) and Claudio Villarroel Stevenson (Chile) have lived in Cologne for many years and want to give something back to the people of the city that has become their new home with this campaign.
The exhibition will take place from December 15 to 22 at the Stevenson Atelier (Löwengasse 1, 50676 Cologne). It starts on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 19h with a vernissage, which will be accompanied by music by Mariano Galussio. The public Lottery will take place at the finissage on Friday, December 22nd from 7pm. The winning tickets will then be published on the following websites: https://vringstreff.de and https://www.ecoutopie.com. Tickets cost 5 euros each and can be purchased at Atelier Stevenson. The exhibition is open from Saturday to Thursday from 17h to 20h. Free admission.
