The courtyard of honor is free of scaffolding and has been shining in a new light since November 23. Since then, the exhibitions in it have been attracting streams of visitors.
But there is also a lot to discover around it, because the Ehrenhof stands for art that is closely linked to the city of Düsseldorf, in addition to its own almost century-old history.
During the art safari, from the Tonhalle to the Kunstpalast, we go on a journey of discovery to over 20 different outdoor works of art around the Ehrenhof, which I spotlight in an entertaining tone.
The sculptures, monuments, mosaics, decorative vases and installations could not be more different. Some are directly connected to the buildings of the Ehrenhof.
Others have been added over the last 96 years. Behind every single work of art is a fascinating story that is worth telling and wants to be explored.
