Short Film Program & Music Performance
Part 1: Outside – Stagnation in Unison
They were self-assured, radical, and subversive: Before 1989, female filmmakers from the GDR and Hungary addressed social injustices and unsparingly documented themselves and their surroundings. Their works are artistic testimonies of resistance, self-assertion, and the search for freedom.
On August 21 and 22, a two-part series will present selected short films, accompanied by a supporting program.
The first evening opens with the music performanceNőNőNő – The Final Arrival of the Puncikák.
This will be followed by the short film program“Outside – Standstill in Step”featuring documentary, experimental, and fictional works.
