Kurzvorträge: Von Warschau über Israel nach Köln - Der Künstler Ber Warzager mit Dr. Christiane Twiehaus

In the organizer's words:

The painter Ber Warzager was born in Tomaszow, Poland, in 1912 and studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Warsaw. He was arrested by the National Socialists as early as 1939. He was held in Buchenwald concentration camp until 1945. Warzager then emigrated to Italy and, when the state was founded, to Haifa. There he worked at the Museum of Modern Art until 1958. During this time, he designed the windows for the newly built Roonstraße Synagogue in Cologne, among other things. Warzager moved to Cologne at the end of the 1950s. Here he created numerous paintings, some of them very large-format.

Christiane Twiehaus will present Ber Warzager and his work in several short lectures between 4 and 6 pm. Just drop by!
