13-year-old Vic Beretton (Sophie Marceau), who has moved to Paris, meets Pénélope (Sheila O'Connor) and her sister Samantha (Alexandra Gonin). From then on, the three girls spend a lot of time together, with Vic keen to gain some experience with boys. And she succeeds! Mathieu (Alexandre Sterling), whom she meets at a party, is interested in Vic. However, the relationship between the two teenagers starts to falter because Mathieu is not honest. He meets up with another girl behind Vic's back. While Vic tries to overcome the difficulties of her first steps with the opposite sex, her parents have a falling out: Vic's father François (Claude Brasseur) is not faithful to his wife Françoise (Brigitte Fossey). Vic finds refuge from all the emotional chaos with her great-grandmother Poupette (Denise Grey), but ultimately has to face up to her everyday teenage life again...
