Long Night of Museums 2026
A night full of mysteries, crimes, and sinister characters
Guided tours, scavenger hunt, reading, performances
At the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), this year’s Long Night of Museums takes visitors into the shadows and on the trail of Berlin’s mysterious nocturnal creatures. Foxes and other furry creatures accompany visitors through an evening full of hidden stories and unexpected encounters.
Young detectives kick off the evening with atreasure huntand discover why it’s more worthwhile to protect wild animals than to hunt them. Maybe they’ll even go home with a fox face painted on their cheeks? Later, aspoken-word performancetells tales of crime and cunning, while animmersive guided tourlets visitors experience the HKW in a whole new way. Anighttime performanceblurs the boundaries between the virtual and physical worlds: a queer, non-binary figure and their virtual, furry friends explore new ways of being together.
To wrap things up, visitors are invited to a picnic and a group howl under the moon, accompanied by aDJ set byDiscoteca Volpería Grandiosaat Weltwirtschaft.
