20:00 I Concert I 💿 JAKI
There is an exciting young chanson generation in France. Artists, especially female singers, who are finding new melodies and contemporary sounds with a fresh approach. Alexia Gredy is one of them. In her home country, she is celebrated as a modern Françoise Hardy, and the name Marie Laforêt is also often mentioned. Both comparisons are justified - simply because of Gredy's elegance and stylistic confidence. Vocally, she prefers a discreet emphasis to any expressiveness. A coolness that is fittingly supported by an electronic sound corset. Her first songs were produced by greats such as Geoff Barrow (Portishead) and Baxter Dury. Their first LP "Hors saison" was arranged by Benjamin Lebeau (The Shoes). The most important thing, however, are the timeless pop songs from Alexia Gredy's pen, which, whether uptempo or slower numbers, always exude a glamorous magic. This also applies to her single release "Un peu plus souvent", which has found a wider audience thanks to the Netflix series "Heartstopper".
Tonight's concert is Alexia Gredy's first in Germany. After the show, the Le Pop DJ team will play for the Christmas party.
