In the organizer's words:

The Pallotine Father Johannes Kopp founded "Life from the Center" in 1973 as an invitation to practice silent prayer and unintentional existence before God. The aim is to focus completely on his presence. To this end, the core exercise of Zen contemplation, zazen, is made fruitful for Christian spirituality: sit and breathe - become still - let - allow - let happen - open up - simply be there - simply be - move from doing to being before God. The introduction to non-objective silent meditation can thus become a way of experiencing faith.

"As body and mind gradually become one and in the increasing inner silence, wordless prayer deepens, becomes more lasting and consistent and allows the healing effect to be experienced more and more in practice. Outside of this practice of silence, the word is filled and animated again for all other forms of prayer and for human encounters in everyday life." (Fr. Johannes Kopp)

GUIDANCE: Petra Schmitz-Arenst, Zen contemplation teacher in the "Living from the Center" program, consultant for mindfulness and meditation in schools and education, mindfulness teacher (including MBSR)

• When registering, please indicate which type of seating you prefer: chair, cushion or bench.
• If necessary, please bring warm socks and/or a small cushion or blanket for your feet (especially if you are sitting on a chair).
• It is advisable to arrive approx. 10 minutes before the start so that you can take your place in peace, tune into the silence and we can start on time.
