Lectureperformance „Rushy Diamond: The Poetry of Visibility and Invisibility and how to become Untouchable”

In the organizer's words:

Growing up around the Hauptwache and the Zeil, the artist and activist Rushy Diamond became known for his interventions in public space.

Rushy Diamond's site-specific tape work (Tape Modern) covers the entire building. His work is created in urban spaces using colored adhesive tape. He borrows his aesthetic from the functional guidance systems of road markings, which are artistically appropriated and varied.

For decades, Rushy Diamond's practice has emerged as a creative act of resistance. In exchange with people from all communities, he activates public spaces and uses his artistic actions to create conditions for reclaiming urban spaces as communally used places.

Rushy Diamond's lecture performance delves into the topics and events of personal visibility and invisibility, and philosophizes about the ways in which artistic freedom and the legitimization of the artist are untouchable. Covers fall, while contrary camouflages are constructed. The Infinity Gauntlet switch timelines, while the Cloaking Coat grants invisibility to keep artistic and personal secrets.

Masks fall, at the same time new identities emerge in the game with the alter egos, Rushy Diamond becomes Rushy Lectures!

Accompanied by a soundtrack in front of a video projection, Rushy lectures on his latest poetry!
